What exactly is the Citta? It is more than the mind…. “Citta refers to our inner centre of subjectivity, the awareness at the centre of ourselves. We could see it as our sense of inner space, the inner domain within which we experience ourselves and our world”…Patrick Kearney, Buddhist Sanctuary article “Contemplating Citta”.

The Citta is not only the mind, it is in the body as well. The connective tissue web contains the impressions of the Citta. It acts as a holographic matrix that forms the structure of the body and the very fiber of your being (as well as is the conduit for energy flow). It is a living matrix that permeates every cell that has the ability to communicate thru an electrochemical charge that is even faster than the nervous system. (And yes, it can leap tall buildings in a single bound:-).

The third eye (Ajna Chakra) can be thought of as the spider which perches in the center of of the connective tissue web that can sense the entire matrix. The impressions in the Citta can pull Ajna away from the ability to rest peacefully in the center of her web. Hence to balance the 3rd eye we clear the Citta by releasing memories, emotions & their accompanying restrictions in the connective tissue web.

Interestingly, Ajna Chakra’s state of being corresponds to the physically palpable Craniosacral movement of the “master joint” – The Spheno-basilar Junction. As the master joint, the unique cranial movement pattern of a person’s Sphenoid is intricately related to the patterns in the Citta that echo throughout the body.
